They fought with the elves, and pushed the trolls further back into isolation. They quickly covered most of central Beneril. The conflict ultimately sundered the elves, and split them into the two modern camps, as well as destroyed their immortality.Īround this time the first humans appeared in Beneril, and due to the fragmentation of the elves were capable of spreading and expanding in the land. When the elvish ruler died his two sons fought over the control of the empire, and their conflict split the elves in two. Two main elvish factions had begun forming, one insisting that their race expand their knowledge and use of magic and the other that taught that nature was to be preserved and lived in harmony with. However, the elves would suffer a great blow to their empire many years after they had securely conquered the land. They devled into the arts of magic and sorcery and were the undisputed masters of the land. In time most of Beneril was under their rule, and they established a mighty empire. With their great skill in warfare and magic, they pushed the demons further and further back. The original race of immortal elves arrived from the southwest thousands of years ago, and began conquering Beneril. Were they a race to counteract the demons? Did they settle and migrate into the land of Beneril, or did they already exist there? The elves were said to have encountered them when they came to Beneril, so most believe the troll to had migrated into the land as. There are all sorts of conjectures and different tales as to the origin and coming of trolls. While the demons first resided in Beneril, somehow or other troll appeared in the land as well. But slowly other races arrived and conquered the land for their own. The demons were the first inhabitants of Beneril, rulers of a vast and charred land. The History of Beneril The Conquests of Benerilīeneril is one land among many in the world, yet has a deep history and culture, with many different races settling and conquering their own portions of the land. Other texts and legends tell of the creation of the orcs, though their origin varies on the telling. According to elvish myths the god Tarther was jealous of this creation and so stole the secrets to create sentient life and fashioned his own race, humanity. The great moon goddess Karaura was the first to do so, and gave birth to the immortal race of elves, the first great civilized people on the planet. Titanic conflicts scoured and altered the landscape, and from these conflicts the drops of divine blood fell onto the world, and became the race of demons, living manifestations of rage, anger, and conflict.Įventually, different races were created or altered by the gods, to serve as their instruments upon Oldani. Accounts and myths vary, but generally it can be assumed that different divine fought to shape the planet into their own liking. The divine spent a long time shaping the world of Oldani, but quickly came into conflict with each other. From the core of the singularity a great star was born, and the most powerful aspects of the singularity's mind became the new gods of the new planet. This conflict led to the Great Creation, as suddenly all of reality was blown out and the universe itself was born. This singularity was, to some extent, alive and self-conscious, and desiring to "know itself" the center of the universe divided itself, several different consciousness emerging and fighting with each other. In the beginning the universe was only contained into the singularity, a single speck containing all of reality.
